Mission Statement

The Harwich Police Association, established in 1963, is a professional organization committed to supporting our members, the citizens of the Town of Harwich and any individual or organization that the Harwich Police Association feels could utilize our assistance.  The Harwich Police Association is an independent body made up of members of the Harwich Police Department, whether on active duty or retired, without distinction as to rank, sex, race, color, language or religion as well as members of the community.
 

The Harwich Police Association shall engage in activities the Board of Directors and its members deems appropriate to accomplish the following purposes;
 

– To assist in promoting the welfare of the community and its citizens
– To be active and constructive in community projects
– To foster and engage in civic activities
– To help the needy in the town
– To sponsor scouting activities and to support charities
– To aid in the character and in the lives of the children of the town
– To take an active part in all things for the advancement of police work in the Town of Harwich
– To assist in any way possible to any person gainfully employed by the police department who is injured or disabled and in connection with these purposes
